October 3-7 | Starting at $500Group Therapy: Support, Community, Connection, Exploration…
Group Therapy can take many different forms, from mindfulness groups, to DBT and other evidence-based therapy tools, support groups, psycho-educational groups, art therapy groups, and more.
Please visit this page frequently to see our current and future offerings.
❋ Intentional Structure
We blend guided moments, open exploration, and space to reflect—so the experience feels both focused and fluid.
❋ Collaborative Energy
Connection is a core part of the therapeutic process in Group Therapy. You may find you learn just as much from the group and its’ members as you do from the content itself.
❋ Expert Facilitation
Led by experienced clinicians who know how to hold space, encourage participation, and keep things moving forward and with purpose.
❋ A Supportive Space
Our groups prioritize a welcoming environment, safety in vulnerability, and mutual respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.
MINDFUL TAROT
Mindful Tarot
Calling all tarot readers in search of creative communities! Start your week off right with a card pull to practice mindfulness and centering. We’ll talk about our cards, journal a bit, and then create art inspired by our readings. This is a mindfulness-focused therapy group. I will not be instructing on how to read tarot cards, as there are no singular correct interpretations. Participants should also be mindful of differing interpretations and work to not cause fear or negativity resulting from cards drawn. Tarot experience is preferred, but if you’ve got a knack for symbolism and imagery and want to give it a shot, welcome!
Sessions are open to individuals over the age of 18. Please come expecting to engage with fellow participants, either verbally or through the chat, preferably with camera on. There will be diverse participants present in terms of age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and more, with the expectation of respect and courtesy for all individuals.
Note: the studio space may be locked after 10 minutes, (or if virtual, participants may not be able to enter the virtual space) so please ensure that you are on time for the session. If no participants show up within the first 15 minutes, the studio will close for the day.
Required
Sketchbook or visual journal, or other artmaking supplies
Tarot deck (physical or online)
Suggested materials:
Drawing supplies (pencils, paper, pens, markers, pastels, crayons, etc)
Painting supplies (paints, water cup, brushes, paint paper or canvas, etc)
Printmaking items (lino, brayer, roller, inks, rubber stamps, gelli plate, etc)
Scrapbooking materials (washi tape, pens, magazines, stickers, crafting scissors, etc)
What to expect:
· The first 5 minutes of each session will be a time to "gather."
· Working time: After checking in, we will each draw our card(s) and spend 15 minutes journaling about associations and meaning-making individually, before sharing about what we can gather from our cards and then pivoting to art making. Participants will work on our art while continuing to engage in conversation and connecting with one another.
· Closure: typically the last 10-15 minutes are reserved for sharing our art. Attendees may show what they made if they wish.
· Please note: if no participants show up within the first 15 minutes of a session, the studio will close up for the day.
Some ground rules:
· When entering the meeting, please have your name displayed on your screen – we will not let people in and/or may remove people who do not have a name displayed.
· Some form of participation is required. The studio is designed to be interactive, and it may be off-putting to other members if there is someone who is just sitting in the background, not participating. Although we prefer participants to have their videos on, we understand this is not always possible, due to wifi or other issues. In these cases we ask that you participate by voice and at least introduce yourself at the beginning of the group.
· Please arrive on time! If you are more than 5 minutes late the studio may be locked, and then you won't get to participate.
