CLINICAL DIRECTOR
I have been in the counseling field for two years, and have spent over a decade as an educator & daycare director. I'm a mom of a teen daughter with level 3 non-verbal autism, and I myself am neurodivergent and on my own mental health journey. I have an autoimmune condition and experience with navigating the mental, physical and emotional toll this can take on oneself and one’s family. I am a proud part of the LGBTQ+ community and support all our unique differences that make us who we are!
I am trained in Trauma-Focused CBT, CPT, Grief Counseling, Anxiety, DBT and Mindfulness. I have experience working with those affected by childhood trauma, abuse, and sexual trauma. I also have experience with the foster-care system, single-parent households & blended families.

PSYCHIATRIC & MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER
Have you ever felt alone, defeated, down, or anxious? Know that you are NOT alone! We have all had these moments, including me. I am Dr. Heather Cynowa, a dual Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice and Psychiatric Mental Health Care. I am passionate about people and their care and want to see them taken care of and receive the care they so richly deserve. I have experience in treating mental health issues and addiction-related challenges, helping to navigate the right therapy for them. I see clients throughout their lifespans. In addition to medication management and therapy specialized to you, the individual's needs are essential to holistic care. You are a person first and a client second. Gary Alston, LCSWA
CLINICAL THERAPIST
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and a gay man, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my therapeutic practice. My own journey—shaped by navigating trauma, resilience, and self -discovery—deeply informs the way I show up for clients in the LGBTQ+ community. I understand firsthand the importance of creating a safe, affirming space where individuals can explore their identities, heal from pain, and build authentic lives.
My therapeutic approach integrates evidence -based clinical strategies with a raw, real, and life -centered coaching style. Clients often tell me that I don ’t
just “do therapy” with them —I meet them where they are with honesty, compassion, and guidance that reflects both my training and lived perspective. I
believe in balancing the clinical with the human, helping clients develop coping
skills while also navigating the everyday challenges of identity, relationships,
and emotional wellness. -
